Apple has filed suit against Samsung for copying the design of its iPad and iPhone with its smartphones and tablets. The 38 page suit goes into detail, showing side by side comparisons of all the ways they feel that Samsung has copied their design. Acer will not achieve an anti-iPad. The president of Acer Taiwan, Scott Lin, said the company does not jump on the train of the Tablet PC. Lin said that this is not a choice dictated by technical challenges, but a choice of business.

Although Macmillan is selling its electronic books for iPad at 12.99 dollars or 14.99 dollars, the same copies are sold on Amazon for the price competitive 9.99 dollars. In a statement, Amazon says they have no choice: “In the end we capitulate and accept the conditions of Macmillan, as the publisher holds the monopoly on some titles and we would have had to offer at a price too high for an ebook” [...]
