HP and Dell said to be investing less in 10-inch Netbooks

DigiTimes, the best source for rumors from the world of technology, suggests that HP and Dell are both restricting investment in the market for 10-inch netbook, shifting its commitment on class size 11.6 inches. Moreover, the profits of machines based on Intel Pine Trail are below expectations, which could push AMD to contemplate an alternative, perhaps in the form of Neo CPU and Radeon integrated graphics.

Luckily, Dell knows how to keep the turn of the year interesting and their customers on their toes; they already came up with a new exciting product based on the latest Intel Atom N450. The new and redesigned Dell Inspiron Mini 10 with the new generation Atom processors should be due for release this coming January 2010. Now that’s faster than you can say “Happy New Year Everybody!” or spell “Old Lang Sine”.
