The future of search engine google.cn is always open, and Google is doing everything possible to avoid leaving the Asian market. Chinese internet users are automatically redirected to google.com.hk results for uncensored, but this deviation is only after clicking on the homepage search engine. In doing so, Google hopes that the Chinese government will renew its operating license. The Mountain View company in recent days has indeed made a request, which is currently being analyzed by the Chinese authorities.

According to them, the analysis will require more evaluation time. Although initially it was thought that google.cn operated illegally in China, in reality the situation may be quite different. A spokeswoman for Google China has indicated to the press that its operating license is still valid, as long as Beijing does not take a decision. This popular Internet Content Provider license shall be reviewed annually, but will nevertheless be valid until 2012.

“Everything will be evaluated as a practical review”, stated spokesman who added that the Chinese authorities the possibility of canceling the license even before 2012.
