Although Macmillan is selling its electronic books for iPad at 12.99 dollars or 14.99 dollars, the same copies are sold on Amazon for the price competitive 9.99 dollars. In a statement, Amazon says they have no choice: “In the end we capitulate and accept the conditions of Macmillan, as the publisher holds the monopoly on some titles and we would have had to offer at a price too high for an ebook” [...]

Apple introduced iPad, the tablet PC much awaited and talked. It is a multifunctional device that allows you to play games, read books in EPUB format with iBooks (between the partner publishers as Penguin, Macmillion, Hachette, Simon & Shuster), surfing with Safari (but no flash) and read email. ITunes obviously does not fail nor Google Maps with Stret View.
