T-Mobile announced the release of the HTC Wildfire S Android smartphone on 3 August. The budget-priced compact device will be available in white for $79.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate with a 2-year contract. It is the successor to the Wildfire and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Theoretically that security hole could lead others to develop malicious software that could could be used to attack your device – so once you’ve jailbroken you might want to download an app called PDF Patcher 2 from the Cydia store to prevent any other software from using the exploit.
