ASUS CEO Jerry Shen is speaking from the start this week ahead of the company entry into the arena of tablets, but before you give some details on future Eee Hall explained he does not expect sales of more than one tablet netbook.
This category is for personal computers, while the tablets are consumed by the content and cloud computing. Shen said something similar at CeBIT past, but this time he added that without the category of Apple tablet would have more time to engage (be careful not said that Apple was innovative, but that was a big to enter the segment). The program is the launch of a tablet Eee at Computex in early June. And although he recalled that there are various versions, has revealed that the “first phase uses only Microsoft software.” This leaves the possibility that the air tablet, Intel will be supported by the operating system Windows 7, or 2 and can count on Tegra have some version of Windows CE as we saw at CES.

We have previously posted about the new Dell Streak that looks like it can battle it out with the oh-so-famous Apple iPad. You can call it a plus-size smartphone or a mini-size tablet… but whatever it is, I’m sure you will find lots of reasons to be happy about this new device from Dell.

Redmond’s lawyers seem to have suddenly awakened from their long sleep with the sudden realization that the Google mobile operating system Android OS violates a boatload of software patents filed by Microsoft.
How do you do when not identified, but Microsoft believes that the user interface elements and the underlying operating system are in violation of his rights. Very in tune with the crusade of the creator of Windows to assert patent claims on Linux, which in the past has topped with a cross-licensing deals with Amazon and Xandros and, as a solution to TomTom. Currently it comes to causes, probably because it would be a waste of time right now where there’s more to think about, in fact HTC has already decided to shorten his list of issues to be put to a license from Microsoft to run Android mobile platform.

Now it’s official, HP is buying Palm! A clean and solid smartphone capable of beating Google and Apple in many areas could take early life.
It is not the first time that Palm back from the dead. After the Palm PDA, Treo temporarily resurrected and WebOS arrived late, it seemed that nobody could get to save the situation. After a decline in business from Palm, and several weeks of speculation, HP announced today that they are acquiring the company for $ 1.2 billion. The deal should close by July 31, the end of the third fiscal quarter, HP. Jon Rubinstein, Palm’s CEO will remain with the company, even if you do not know in what capacity. He had initially spoken of as potential suitors HTC or Lenovo, HP decided to make the big step that allows him simultaneously to become soon a major player in the smartphone.
WebOS Palm might be a good platform for future HP tablet, but it’s lacking a solid community of developers, since its 2000 apps pale in comparison to what is currently Apple App Store and Android Market offer.
