Acer Iconia Tab A500 will be updated to Android 3.1 on July 5th in Germany. 1GB of RAM, this 10.1-inch slate packs a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 250 Cortex A9 processor and 16GB of internal storage space, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel shooter in the front. The battery life is around 8 full hours.

HTC’s next effort in the Android tablet space, the Puccini, is set to go on sale in the UK from June 27th, it has been revealed.

Another unsubstantiated Apple iPhone rumor has hit the internet that merely rehashes old rumors and doesn’t say anything new. This time, Boy Genius Report exclusively says that the iPhone 5 will be a “major update after all” with the “announcement and availability in August”.
