Fujitsu put his hand on Toshiba Mobile

This merger would be effective from 1 October. The two parties wish to place themselves in this way among the leaders of the Japanese market, past high-tech giants. More specifically, the group conquered the second place in the standings with nearly 20% market share, behind Sharp (25%). This partnership should also promote the development of terminal high-profile, multi-accessorized, alongside the well known Toshiba TG01.

Wall Street Journal reported the statements of Fujitsu spokesman: “Our mobile industry is strong and dynamic at the moment, but we can not always ensure that it remains so in the future.” For Toshiba, the agreement signed will result simply in an “internal restructuring” plan. At the end of the fiscal year in March, the department’s mobile society suffering from a decline in profits of 44%.

Currently we do not know if this merger will change the estimates and budgets of the company, but the Japanese market has declined in performance from 2009 with 31 million handsets sold 50 million against the previous years.
