HTC Licenses Microsoft Patents for Android

Redmond’s lawyers seem to have suddenly awakened from their long sleep with the sudden realization that the Google mobile operating system Android OS violates a boatload of software patents filed by Microsoft.

How do you do when not identified, but Microsoft believes that the user interface elements and the underlying operating system are in violation of his rights. Very in tune with the crusade of the creator of Windows to assert patent claims on Linux, which in the past has topped with a cross-licensing deals with Amazon and Xandros and, as a solution to TomTom. Currently it comes to causes, probably because it would be a waste of time right now where there’s more to think about, in fact HTC has already decided to shorten his list of issues to be put to a license from Microsoft to run Android mobile platform.

Ridiciolo but it seems so! I find it regrettable and absurd that one of the biggest and most loyal Android phone manufacturers should have to pay royalties to Microsoft to use the operating system from Google.
