Apple has used Intel chips in their products since 2006 (and things went pretty well I would say). But according to AppleInsider, Apple is in advanced talks with AMD to take another processor.
Apple is not restricted to mere talk; tried AMD in its labs for some time.
Still remains difficult to believe a partial migration, especially when Intel chips are superior to AMD’s currently a considerable margin. Some time ago, DigiTimes reported that Apple was as angry with the shortage of Intel chips, which forced the MacBook Pro to make its appearance later than planned with Core i5/i7. Apple is also having to solve problems for Intel integrated graphics in MacBook Pro fault dispute with Intel NVIDIA. AMD, Apple might consider as a regular customer of high level which provide a product cheaper and more with ATI-based GPU (since AMD owns ATI).
AppleInsider his singing sounds perfectly credible, the idea that Apple can really jump ship in favor of AMD’s.
