LG Electronics, a global leader and technology innovator in the field of mobile communications, announced the launch of LG X300, the premium ultra-thin laptop.

Dr. Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company said he was satisfied with the consent received from the public at the CES in Las Vegas and the media to its line of laptops. “This is a vindication of the efforts of LG to maintain the high standards in design without sacrificing high-tech”.

The X300 is the new LG’s leading mobile device for 2010, with a weight of only 970Gr and only 17.5 millimeters thick for maximum portability. LG X300 boasts a large 11.6-inch LCD screen, keyboard and touchpad reflective borderless (less edges) to add more elegance to this premium notebook PC that will be available in two colors, white and glossy brown. The handset features a 2.0 GHz processor Intel Menlow platform with up to 2GB of RAM and 128GB SSD, the X300 running Windows 7 by LG Home Premium and comes with an additional 2-cell battery to provide up to seven hours use. With its fan-less operation is very quiet, while the LG Smart Pack provides the easy to use even for novices.

LG X300 will be equipped with multimedia features including a 1.3-megapixel webcam with a Tu-viewer Cam, sound and SRS TruSurround HD. Thanks to an integrated 3G modem chipset, users can easily go online via GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, or HSDPA networks.

LG X300 will be available in Asia starting in March, followed by the Middle East and South America. Prices vary from country to country and will be announced separately in each market.
