The Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturer HTC has to offer especially smartphones. Now, new indications have emerged that suggest that the company also wants to Smartbook-mitmischen market. Apparently HTC is working on a new device based on a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon particularly fast ARM processor, WiMAX, and supported with the upcoming version 2.2 of Google’s Android mobile operating system works.
The code name of the proposed device is supposedly “Scorpion”, but in the build file that was leaked to the AndroidSPIN, is also a “HTC Olympian,” talk. Further details are not available yet and also is uncertain whether it is ever to be a Smartbook.
Due to the high clock frequency of the Snapdragon processor, however, suggested that HTC is planning a device with a larger display diagonal, as is usual in the smartphone would be. It could also include that HTC wants to enter soon with his new device in the tablet market.
