The design of this Freescale Smartbook, if it pushes through, is pretty promising. It will have a netbook-like ARM processor, 7-inch resistive touchscreen display, 512MB RAM, 4 to 64 GB internal storage, removable microSD card slot, optional 3G modem, 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, USB, audio ports, SIM card, speaker, microphone, 3MP camera, 1900 mAh battery, accelerometer and light sensor.
The Freescale Smartbook tablet will run on a customized Debian Linux build, so you can now start planning on how you will be able to debug this if it comes to life. You can get this Freescale Smartbook tablet at a cheap price of $199 by the end of this year.
